Rachel Corner

The Dutch photographer Corner (1969) attended the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and graduated in 1997.
After her graduation she went to the Amsterdam based newspaper Parool for an apprenticeship. In 1998 her photos were shown in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and in an exhibition on art education for children in Regio Emilia, Italy. In the past she worked for MSF, Artsen zonder grenzen. Presently she is working on a long-term project on the different cultures living in Holland. 

Her main focus is documentary photography. She makes stories about Roma in Slovakia, refugees in Europe and has made a book about the last farmers in the Amsterdam area: Boeren van Amsterdam. Her series made in Sudan was awarded at the Zilveren Camera Award in The Netherlands.
Her work is published in Vrij Nederland, Groene Amsterdammer and Le Monde.
