Boeren van Amsterdam is a book about the last farmers in the Amsterdam area.

In the outskirts of Amsterdam, but within  the official city boundaries, there is still an an old traditional farming community to be found. Over the past 25 years a lot has changed. The position of the farmers is slowly taken over by rich city people. This is not only typical for Amsterdam, but is also happening in the rest of the country. The book shows the life and work of some of these farmers.
